Baking

Today I suddenly felt the urge to make some cookies or something for christmas......oh dear.....what's going on....
Well, the choice landed on oatflarn (havreflarn). I decided that I wanted to make them on glutenfree oatmeal, that way everyone can eat them... (if it's anyone left for christmas).
- Start with turning on the oven on 180 degrees
- 75 g butter
- 100 g big oatmeal
- 1 egg
- 125 g sugar
- 1 ts bakingpowder

- Melt the butter and mix it with the oatmeals
- Whip the egg and sugar to eggnog
- Mix everything together and put on baking paper on the baking tray, use a big teaspoon or they will get to big
- Bake them for ca.5-10 minutes (I did 5 and half minute), let them rest on the baking paper for a while before you put them on the grating (risten).
Enjoy, they tasted really, really good. The chances are that I have to make some more right before christmas...

Wintertime

It's really winter here at my place,I woke up to this.....snow,snow,snow...
But,as long as I can have a nice time inside it's allmost ok...but really,it's enough now...!!!!!!

Differences or similarities?

From time to time, many places in the world, the question gets a lot of attention. The question of whether or not a Muslim woman have to or should wear a hijab, cover her head/hair. In many places ignorant people that are not Muslims start to talk and discuss that this Muslim women must be stupid to wear hijab, that they are submissive etc. And that only Muslim women wear this hijab.
Well, you are wrong. Other women from other religions are or have been wearing it, and it's not only the Quran that says that women should cover her head/hair. Maybe the christians have forgotten what is said in the Bible or the hindu have forgotten what their book says..... Just take a look...

Quran, Sura 24:31:
And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.

Here is 3 other religions that in theory has the same or allmost the same practice as in Islam, but it has been forgotten. Maybe we should read our own books a little bit more before we criticize other? Just a question....

Hindu, Rigveda book 8, 33:19:
Cast down thine eyes and look not up. More closely set thy feet. Let none see what thy garment veils, for thou, a Brahman, hast become a dame.

Toraen, Genesis 24:64-65:
And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.

Christians: 1. Corinthians 11:5-6:
And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head--it is just as though her head were shaved. If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head.

What I mean is...that we think there is a lot of differences between a lot of religions or the Holly Books, but actually there is a lot of similarities. Even though it is a lot of similarities, we all interprets the Scripture in different ways. Basically we are all human, and we should treat eachother with respect and tolerance. Don't hate eachother even though we are different, it's the differences that makes this world an exiting place to live.

Take care....

Home sick

Ok,even though you're home sick you can try to make the day as best as you can. You don't need to do much....only a few candles makes the atmosphere more relaxed and I think it makes you more relaxed. To relaxe is a good medicine, so make the best of it even though you're home sick...
